Fresh Stop at 4th Ave UMC's goal is to provide affordable, local, and fresh produce form local farmers so everyone can have access to fresh food and share in the health! Food boxes, or shares, are offered for $15 per share regular price and $8 per share for low income households. Each share has an average of 8 different types of vegetables and fruit as available. A share is enough produce for at least two people for a week or more.
We use WIC guidelines when determining eligibility for low income shares, but there is no paperwork involved.
Shares may be paid for using cash, check, money order or KY Food Stamps/EBT cards.
Fair and affordable pricing is made possible in part by donations. We invite and encourage donations!
Fresh Stop will run during the growing season when farmers are harvesting their crops. Food shares will be available June 10 - September 23. Shares will be available for pickup every Wednesday from 5 - 6:30 pm in the garden of 4UMC. If you have ordered a share and are unable to pick it up by 7pm on Wednesday, please call (502) 718-0587.

Fresh Stop - 4UMC envisions a community built around healthy food! When you pick up your food you can exchange recipes and information and connect with knowledgeable neighbors about food and health.
Weekly newsletters with recipe ideas and nutritional facts about the food will also be offered.
You will be supporting local farmers, strengthening relationships in the community and improving you and your family's health all at an affordable rate.
2015 Season Dates
Fresh Stop will run throughout the harvesting season. Fresh produce will be available June through September. Shares will be available for pickup on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday June, July, Agust, & September from 5-6:30 PM at 4th Ave. UMC. If you have ordered a share and are unable to pick it up by 6:30 PM, please call Fresh Stop at (502) 718-0587.
There will be a Market Table the 2nd and 4th Wednesday in June and September, and every Wednesday in July and August.
Flexible Ordering Options
Depending on your budget, you can pre-pay for the entire season or you can pay week-to-week. When paying weekly, orders and payment are due by 3 p.m. the Sunday before pickup. Call (502) 718-0587 to order or cancel.
